There really isn’t a more beautiful setting than the Huntington Library for an engagement shoot. And we had a great time walking the Huntington Library’s grounds looking for the perfect spots. It’s hard to believe Michele, Kenny and I haven’t know each other for years. Their engagement session was so fun and relaxed it felt like hanging out with old friends. We spent a beautiful afternoon and evening in San Juan Capistrano and Laguna Beach and my favorite thing about these images is the way their love really shines through. (Of course, hanging off of the lifeguard tower with one hand to get that last image was pretty fun too :)). Alin and Yves wanted a mix of Old World charm and vintage inspired details for their engagement session so we headed for the Mission in San Juan Capistrano. The Mission turned out to be   the perfect backdrop for some classic architecture and a little European ambiance. Alina has an amazing sense of style and an exceptional eye for detail and she brought along some of the individual pieces that she had hand crafted to add some sparkle to the engagement session. I fell in love with the moss covered handbag, the pillow wrapped in twine and the nautical themed cufflinks. Everything fit together so beautifully. Part 1 of Zarina and Greg’s engagement session was shot by the pier in Huntington Beach (you can see the photos here). For part 2 we decided to head into downtown and use one of Los Angeles’ iconic architectural landmarks – the Walt Disney Concert Hall. The Concert Hall is simply gorgeous from every angle and the futuristic lines and textures made for a fresh, stylish, and modern backdrop for their engagement images. I love Zarina and Greg’s chemistry in front of the camera and it was just a joy to spend the afternoon with them. As the sun went down we headed to Hollywood BLVD. to take in some of the local craziness. Thank you Zarina and Greg for a terrific session number 2 – I can’t wait to document your wedding day :).

You know that feeling you get when you just know something is going to be great? That is how I felt the moment I met Rick and Vanessa. When a couple is perfect for each other you just feel that they have something special and Rick and Vanessa have it. Making new friends with really wonderful people is absolutely the best part of my job and from our first meeting I knew working with them was going to be an amazing experience. This engagement session was almost effortless and I can’t thank Rick and Vanessa enough for a fun afternoon and evening walking through Olvera Street and visiting Griffith Observatory. And future brides take note – rockin’ some killer shoes at your engagement session = love :)

This was one of those engagement sessions where everything just worked out perfectly. I love Huntington Beach and used to work the area regularly when I was a staff photographer at the Orange County Register. The vibe near the pier in Huntington Beach is young, active and high energy so when Zarina and Greg said they wanted to do their engagement session on Main Street I just knew it was going to make for some fun images. While most visitors stick to Main Street and the Pier there are lots of cool and interesting areas just off of the beaten path and we captured a few of them in this set. Thank you Zarina and Greg for being so fun to work with and I can’t wait to document your wedding day in August.
